I have a slight issue that i believe is software related. I am hoping someone can help me out. I recently built a Buildlog 2.x 40Watt Laser. Everything so far works great and it has been a wonderful learning experience. I am very familiar with Stepper drivers and motors however I keep losing steps in the X-axis.
I am having issues uploading pictures so I have linked them via Dropbox:

This is the screenshot of what it should be doing. Just a simple Square Cut with an engraved square inside.

Here is what it winds up looking like. As you can see the square is perfect but the engraving starts skipping at a consistent distance each line.
I can tell it is skipping because if i run the job again I get this:

The amount it is offset is exactly the distance between the bottom left of the engraved square and the top left of the engraved square.
To confirm it was not hardware related I swapped driver, turned down (and up) the current and confirmed belt tension. Im not sure which setting to adjust on the software side. Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks in advance for any help. Its much appreciated.

My guess is that you have the "Pulse Edge" set wrong.
Check the documentation of your stepper drives and set it appropriately.

And if its the X7 DSP its 'BMP Optimize' which only seems to work for unilateral engraving, otherwise it makes a striped pattern.
