Nice Simple jld612 Setup

I'm setting up a kiln with a jld612 controller and its all put together with 40a ssr. I want to set the controller to stay at a particular temp, duh.
Is there a simple way to program this? I have my controller set up the same as the diagram below, except the wires go to the proper numbers, etc. Do I need to use the alarms to have the controller work properly (in a range of say 5 degrees high and 5 degress low of my set point), or can I just set one temp like 1000c? What is the best approach. Thanks for the help, so far so good.

Oh and I'm also wondering if I should place a fuse and where.

You don't have to use the relay for anything. It serves as alarm or control when set tempearture out of the range. There is no simple way to configure a PID temperature controller. It's more like an industry control device providing an excellence T control. Just like that there is no simple way to drive a F-1 Formula sport car. Need learning and practise and it will bring you a lot of fun!
