To have the pid working" do I have to enter in all parameters such as 0089, 0036 and 0001 ? Or could I just go to auto tuning and skip putting in parameters?

You do have to set the initial parameters for SV, sensor type (inty), output control mode (outy) etc -- all the ones in the first set-up array. After that you can just run the auto-tune.
