Hi all
does anybody know whats the reason that if I draw a square from the lasercut menue and send it to the machine, the machine ( The 2012 DSP) engraves it as a filled square.
I could not find a way to adjust this.
this was not till today as all of a sudden it changed.
maybe marco know's something about this.
we need urgend a manual!

This is the way my lasercut has always worked. If you set it's color to engrave it will fill all polygons whether you have draw them or import them via DXF.

thats even more strange because it did not do it before because I used it to set and check the accurancy settings.
this is a bad thing and maybe the programmer can change this because if I wana use this for a frame to add or so it will destroy the whole engraving.
it should be easy to add a position where I can select if it should be filled or not.

It actually has to work that way and many things would not be possible if it didn't work that way. Lines don't have a thickness and can't be engraved you have to engrave the inside of the polygons.

You can do a few things to work around it. First is use CorelDraw (or other vector daring program) to create an appropriate polygon. In CorelDraw use contours to create a "border" type polygon. Keep in mind that line thickness is not transfered from CorelDraw either for the same reason as lines are cut, polygon interiors are engraved.

Second is attempt to draw a second smaller rectangle inside the first one while in LaserCAD. On screen this looks like it will work, but I'm not home to try it.

no even from coreldraw X4 if you create a square and use the link to lasercut it still will engrave a filled square.
I just dont know why I could do it before without a probleme.
I am not quite sure how you mean this that lines dont have thickness as a sample text letter will have thickness lines.
if I create a polygon in coreldraw with a line thickness it will engrave this way. thats how I create frames around some grafiks and picture.
I realised that I can change the color of the polygone in lasercut and maybe then have to set it to cut I will try this tomorrow

OK guys I did find out a easy way to work around this probleme.
after drawing a polygone or whatever in laser cut just marked as cut with the negraving settings and it will not fill the polygone
