DC-K40III conversion

Hi all! I'm new here as well as to CO2 lasers. Like so many others, I found the hardware/software combination to be, to say the least, a bit limited. It was Lasersafe's videos on YouTube that directed me this way, and i'm currently rebuilding my machine with the DSP and a 3 axis TB6560 driver. I've also ripped out and replaced the power supplies. The machine was $499.00 + shipping, so it doesn't hurt that much to throw that stuff out.
So, to the point. Would anyone like to share an .ini file or tell me what settings would be a good starting point? And, is there a way to limit the laser power while aligning the optics. I guess it's full power when I press the "Light" button...
BTW, the DSP,s somewhat loud BEEP can be muted simply by putting a piece of tape over the summer (the black cylindrical component on the back of the DSP)
Best regards,
