JLD612 built in relay....is it a solid state relay?

I was reading the manual, noticed that the jld612 has an internal relay. It it solid state or mechanical? Thanks.

Mechanical -- I wouldn't use it for more than 1A AC.

The new manual shows no apparent power supply in controlling a relay for either the SSR or J1.
Does it require an external power supply for use with a buzzer?

The SSR control output is in fact a DC source that drives the SSR directly. The mechanical relay is just a switch -- you have to supply power externally for a buzzer.
