Upgrade Falcon to AWC7824 Controller?

I have a LightObject Falcon CO2 laser cutter with the old controller. The PC software has always been a challenge and often times does not do a great job with splines around letters. I am interested in upgrading the controller to the AWC7824 so I can use LightBurn. Would this be a difficult upgrade? Are there instructions available for swapping out the controllers?
On the same upgrade subject, are there any practical benefits to swapping out the old laser head for one of the "Pro" laser heads?
