I've done a DSP upgrade but used the original K40 PSU. All worked fine and then the machine was left for about 10 months.

I'm now using it again on a new project but the Laser is burning through the mirrors. Is this a problem anyone else has experienced?

Has the PSU 'packed in'? Is it the Tube?

I'd be grateful of any help.

I think the reflection mirrors is to be blamed. The mirrors installed on K40 is glass based, not Si or MO. The coating is very easy to peel off or got damage due to poor quality control. There is nothing a PSU or laser tube to be blamed.
