40watt laser power supply question

Does the 40watt laser power supply have an internal heat or power sensor/relay? I was running at 95% power for about 15 minutes, when I thought I heard the sound of a relay close or open and the power to the laser tube stopped. I turned everything off, waited a bit, and then tried again. This time it worked for about 10 minutes. Again, I heard a relay-like sound and the power to the tube stopped. This time, I have not been able to get it going again.
I have had the ps in service for almost exactly one year (since 9/20 of last year).
