Where does it go?

Post by msmeowy »

I am not an electrician, but I am handy and I'm upgrading my 40w Chinese laser with the AWC608 controller card

I've made all the wiring changes except for the connections in the pictureImage

The designations in the upper circle do not match what I have left on my Laser PSU.

Mine are P+, G, K-, K+, G, IN, 5V and then another bank that are marked (backwards S)4, G, 5V, L

Where should I put the GND, TTL, PWM wires?

Also, when I disconnected the Moshi board I disconnected a green wire connected to the test switch. Should this wire be connected somewhere?

I haven't gotten a reply to my question, so I thought I'd send a picture of the Laser PS so you can see what I am talking aboutImage

The FG, AC and AC are on the left rather than the right. And, the area that is left for me to connect the Gnd, TTL, and PWM
don't have the designation that the wiring diagram says to connect them.

Where do the wires connect to the Laser PS.

This is the last connection I need to make before I can make the laser something other than a paperweight. Any help?

Your Power supply does not look like one that can generate a PWM signal.
I had the same cheap PS that came with my laser, and ended up having to replace it.
I suggest that you purchase one from here for your wattage laser http://www.lightobject.com/Search.aspx?k=power%20supply
I know it's probably not what you want to hear but it is SO worth it!

I wish I could get a new power supply. But, for now, I found the answers to my questions here.
