Stepper replacement

Can the X stepper motor on the K40, which is .9 dgree be replaced with a 1.8 degree?
Yes, I don't see why not.. If it has the same wireconfiguration (ie bipolar 4 or 8 wire) there are plenty.. NEMA17 ?
You only have to set the um/step twice the value..
