I have a number of things I need to produce. I design in illustrator and output in illustrator 8. The products are currently very basic shapes with text converted to outlines.
I want to engrave the text then cut the shape.....
Pretty simple right?
Nope.
No matter what I do only a partial file will transfer to the X7. Please recommend a solution before I have no hair left.
Heres a picture which demonstrates the problem:

Does it appear the same in LaserCad? Problem with some DXF files is that software like Illustrator often makes loops or unclosed contours.
I haven't tried it yet in the newest version but in older versions of LaserCad you could select all vectors and close them at once..
Loops are more difficult.. I haven't found software that removed loops 100% automatically and gave a perfect result.. So now i do that manually..
The best conversion to DXF that works 99% fine with LaserCad is produced by CorelDraw however.. even if you import a DXF from Illustrator and export it as DXF (2008)..
