I would like to reinstall the belts for my K40 and wish to buy some from you. I am wondering if they come in the correct length. It says that they must be purchased by the foot. Does this mean that I need to join the ends together somehow because it won't come in a loop? If so, what is the best way to join the ends together?

You don't need to join the end.
Check yours first and measure how long you need
