PSU wiring help.

Hi, I recently purchased the 40w Chinese laser, and after much trial and error I decided to upgrade to the LO-X7. I installed the majority of the hardware and I was going to start wiring it up, and I noticed my PSU's wiring connections are different from those on wiring diagram. I done some research and noticed that there seems to be a lot of different PSU's that come stock in the k40, but none of them looked like mine.

Nevertheless, I was wondering if anyone had any information on how to wire this PSU in with the upgrade.

On the back of my PSU I was confused that there was two slots labeled AC, and I was wondering which one I should use for the red wire, and which one I should use for the black.

On the front of the PSU I have slots for the G, and the IN, but I don't have the slot labeled TL (a yellow wire on the wiring diagram that connects to TTL on the controller). So, I was wondering were the yellow wire is supposed to go on the PSU.

I'll try to post pictures of my PSU to go on ahead and avoid any confusion there, but my phones have trouble adding attachments, but thank you'll for your time, Peace.

From were you referred me to marco I was able to solve my problem in the front of the PSU, and jman was helping me with the problem in the back but I'm being really cautious and don't trust my ability to not mix up the two AC's. A lot of them iv seen are all in different orders but mine is

FG, AC, AC, L-

Also from left to right most of them iv seen, the left most AC is is the red wire that runs to the N on the controller, but I'm not sure if thats gonna be right or not, and I'm not a betting man specially when the wager is expensive hardware Lol

It doesn't matter which AC legs you connect to the "L" because it is isolated. Just connect the two AC legs to AC110V Outlet "L" , "L" and have "FG" to the Ground.

I sat down with this cool guy I know at my job and talked to him about wiring everything up, and from our conversation he drafted this wiring diagram. (Which does not include stepper motors or limit switches) does anyone see if there is anything wrong with wiring up the machine this way? I'm just being cautious, and wanting a second opinion.

Nah your good man, I dont expect you solely to solve my problems I gotta figure out some of this to your only one person Lol, but I was wondering if you thought this would be an ok way to wire the machine.

I think you jinxed me Marco Lol.

I got my new system wired in and everything works well except when I fire the laser the DSP gets killed because of a weak ground is what I've found on the internet.

I checked my wall plug and it wasn't grounded so I moved it and I still have the same problem. I also checked all of my other grounds on the machine and I can't find a bad one.

My research raised two more questions in my mind:

On the thread that you referred me to it has shorted "P+ and G" but my LPSU came stock with "D+ and D" shorted and I don't have a P+ so I left the "D+ and D" shorted and that may be killing the system I don't know Lol.

Also my LPS came stock with "L-, AC, AC, FG"

originally FG went to the big green resistor and L- was my ground.

After I rewired it I wired FG to my ground and L- is open so this to might be causing the grounding problem I'm not 100% sure...which is why I'm asking Lol

From your E-stop wiring I have suspicions that you're mixing the L and N up?

L means 'Live' which is the hot wire
N is 'Neutral' which is the return (which is incidentally tied to ground at the primary box)

E-stop on Neutral is dangerous because the current will try to find another way through (which could very well be the ground if not properly isolated)

I never installed my estop yet so that can't be it through some more research I think the power might have been set to high and maybe the high output was causing the interference I'm really not sure in my efforts of rewiring though I blew the fuse in the socket on the k40 so I'mordering it now lol

Did you resolve your issues with your power supply and get your DSP work?

Please share any info you may have as I have the same lpsu and going to attempt the same upgrade.
