Problem with the LO-X7 DSP

I've connected everything and it's working well with the file included in the system for testing, but if I send anything from my laptop, it won't work, the message on the LCD reads "engrave beyond size". I tried changing the worktable size, the motor orientation, the pulses, the speed, nothing works, I get the same message and the file won't work. I repeated the exact same steps I did with the 608 model, to no avail. The system is a brand new minilaptop, just formatted with win7, fresh lasercad 7.43 install. Tried with lasercad 6.88, same results (except for a "file error" message when I send the file to the laser system)

Do you have homing switches? If so, make a test job with a small image with the origin near the middle of the table.
If you don't have homing switches, make sure when you "Read Position" that you're not near the edge of the soft limits.
Outside of that if acceleration is set low, it takes a longer distance to get up to speed so it increases the "size" requirements.

I seem to recall other threads with similar symptoms. From what I remember, they came down to origin disagreement between LaserCAD and the DSP. Sorry, I don't remember the details, but you can probably find the other threads with some searching.

I thought it was origin disagreements too, but I copied the information from another LS600 I've got running on AWC608. In the end I fidgeted for a little while with the speed and accel settings and I got it running well!
I hope this can enlight some on the same path!

I noticed this too, I set my stepper drivers to 32 (Switches 4-6 OFF ON OFF) to see if I could get better resolution, recalibrated the UM settings and it seemed fine until the next restart, then it was noisy when resetting and kept homing to the bottom right after tripping the limit switches, until I pressed the origin menu option to return to origin.
By the way, the pannel origin button is set origin not "go to origin" as it should be... I kept pressing that button expecting the head to fly back to the start point but I just screwed up the next engrave
Anyway, when I set it back to 16 and recalibrated, it was all OK again.
I am thinking that machines that can handle that resolution usually home at the bottom right.
or as someone said it caused a disagreement in LaserCAD
