Hey guys,
I've got a problem. I've tried to engrave a square 20x20 but it doesn't have desired size. Its size is 34x34.
Here's my setting of axis X Microstep Driver M415B.
SW1- OFF,SW2 - OFF,SW3 - ON = 0,63 A
SW4 - ON, SW5- ON, SW6 - OFF = 16 MSTEP
Here's my setting of axis Y Microstep Driver M415B.
SW1 - OFF, SW2 - NO, SW3 - OFF = 1.05A
SW4 - ON, SW5- ON, SW6 - OFF = 16 MSTEP

I've been trying to engrave logo HP but it's bigger than it supposed to be and as you can see in the picture below there are lines which aren't supposed to be there.

It seems the "um" not being set properly. Use the built-in um calculator to find the good um and it should work right after new um is used. There is a button next to X and Y. Click it and put down Expect distance and the actual distance you got from the cutting.

Expected: 20
Actual: 34

Hi,
thanks for your response. I tried it out but it's still the same.
Could you check my settings bellow and tell me where's the problem? Thanks

Can't tell because different machine act differently
May be you should try 1/8 micro step other than 1/16
Once changed, you need to get new "um"

I tried it but it's even worse.
With setting 1/8 micro step is movement of the head very chaotic. Instead of square 20x20 is engraved some nonsense.

Remember, you need to save the new um and press RESET on the LCD screen to make the new setting in effect.

Now I am pretty sure it is um setting issue. The um shouldbe "12.xx" in general when drivers are set to 1/8

Hi Marco,
saving of "um" and all the settings I did according to the manual. I tried many variations of settings and according to the software every save occurred successfully and everytime I did press Reset on the LCD screen. But the results were the same or worse. I was working on it yesterday when suddenly in the afternoon the software asked if I wanted to save password "608". In this moment it saved the settings and so far it works just fine. Honestly, I don't know what happened because all the previous attempts I did the same way.
