Wish I had a better lens holder

Hi all! It's been a while since I've posted on here. I've been using my DSP converted k40 for a little over a year and a half now. It's been a great machine but there's one nagging problem that drives me crazy.
I absolutely hate the lens holder. I don't like the way the lens sits on metal (especially the top convex part of the lens) which makes me paranoid to tighten it too much for fear of breaking it. Does anyone on here have a better setup from stock that they can share pictures of on here? Maybe an o-ring or gasket to stop it from hitting metal?
Part of the problem is that the threads are really loose on the holder so it's hard to get it snug anyway. The issue I have from time to time is when I turn the machine on. Mine has a little clunk from the motors before it goes to the limit switches. This clunk can make the lens holder loosen which is very annoying if you don't notice it before starting a job.
Marco, I bet if you had an upgraded lens holder you could sell a lot of them. Something that doesn't stress the lens and makes it easier to remove for cleaning. That's the other problem. It's a pain to put the lens back in the holder if you're trying to be careful with it. For me it's the last piece of the puzzle to make this a really nice little machine.
