40 watt powersupply and 60 watt tube?

Hello!
My local co2 laser suppler asks the same amount of money for a 60 and 40 watt co2 tube.
So of course i want the 60 watt version.
At the moment i'm still using the LSR-JN40W3VPWM power supply from light object and it is working like a charm. I was wondering if I could use is to drive the 60 watt laser to start with, then when there is enough money buy the new powersupply.
At the moment a "40" watt chinese tube (more 25 or 30 watt according to its length of 70 cm) is getting old and performance is dropping.
Can I use the 40 watt power supply without destroying the tube or power supply?
Thanks!
