Marco do you plan on stocking the color LED screen (not touch screen) of the 608 DSP controller? I have seen the You Tube video and know a couple of people have used them and are happy.

I talked to the supplier and he quoted me that the touchscreen DSP would be better and price is very competitive to the AWC608"C" that only come with color LCD display. He asked me to wait for a little bit.

Well if you're interested, I can get you one. But it cost a little bit more; $495

How long before the touchscreen? So the strictly color model AW608C with buttons is a special order? What is the touchscreen projected price and I assume it still uses LaserCad 6.xx?

Probably in a month or two. I didn't get too much information yet so I'm not sure what software it is using. I'm going back to China on Jun 20th and I will find out more information.

As I mentioned earlier on the forum, I really don't see the advantage to pay for more color rather than more productive. The most advantage of having the color screen is that you're able to see what is on the file to be engrave or cut. Also, you may do a little parameter setup (but who will do it often). Plus, the progress is static not dynamic so what good about it to see the image of job file but without the progress.

I don't want to stock it as it cost $$$. I would rather focus on something I know better and stable. It take the AWC608 almost 2 years to get to the point of becoming so stable with many features I requested to add. I don't have enough time or resources to invest to do tech support on the AWC608C. Remember that it is not just plug & play then tell you what problem it is. I have to install it on a machine and/or make bunch of connection trying to simulate the problem you folks may encountered. I think AWC608 is just good enough for the performance and price wise. Forget about the fancy things and be more "down to earth"

I know some guys bought the AWC608'C' from other parties and ended up technical issue. The supplier were from China and they have no support. They come to me and I really can't help as first, it is not my card. Second, I don't have the card to test. They may save $100 to $125 but it will cost them more once they have problem or question to use it. It cost $90 for the postage and took 1.5~2 months to get the card repair or exchange. They take chance but I don't.

Marco

It is not ready yet but closed. I'm currently in China and I'll meet the supplier a few days later.
What machine are you trying to buy? I sold the last 1200x900 last week. I have 900x600 and 600x400 in stock in California warehouse.

If you buy now, you still get the AWC608 for now. Usually I'll wait for a while before getting new a DSP because I need to have mature product to sale like the AWC608.

I just now seen your reply. I came out to California and purchased the 1200x1800 and a 150 watt tube and all the trimmings. I also purchased a K40 upgrade. I am currently upgrading the K40 maybe I will get finished with it today.
