Hey Folks,

First I'm very new to K40 repairs, so please try not to be too technical, so I understand.

I recently purchased a new XY Axis for my K40 and installed it. I hooked up the X (right to left) limit switch using the wires old limit switch wires located by the step motor on the right hand side.

Question is how do I hook up the Y (front to back) axis limit switch? I didn't see any other wires that would connect to that switch.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this helps. Y switch is barely visible at the back. I drilled and tapped a pair of M3 holes for it in the back of the frame and it works fine!
As to wiring, you'll need to run a new set through to your DSP unit - I threw virtually all the old (chinese) wiring away and started from scratch. Be sure to use multi-strand wires on all moving parts since single-core will surely snap with repeated movement.
