System settings / manufacturer parameters:
No matter how I change the um/pulse value on the x-axis (haven't tried y-axis yet) my 100mm test line prints at the same 98.5mm length. Even if I put a really silly, exaggeated value in here it still stays at 98.5mm.
I DO save after each change but quite often I find LaseCAD changes the value back to some previous value.
WHAT am I doing wrong please?

What is your 'um' value now?
After SAVE it, did you hit "RESET" on the LCD control unit to make it in effect?

Aaah - was doing save but not 'reset'. Will go and try it now!
OK tried changing x um value from 9 to 20, did 'save', 'OK' and reset. My 100mm line is STILL 98.5mm long!
I must be missing something...

It seems that the range has been locked up to the range. Can you try 200mm?
Something is wrong but I'm not sure what it is by this time. May be you send some screen shot of your configuration and we may be able to find the clue

hi ther
did you first hit read then change the value then hit save. only if you first hit read for every changes you make in the manufacturer settings you can change and save the way that is taken over on the machine.
greetings

OK - after 3 weeks of upgrading, getting my (battered!) z-table to run fluidly and general fine-tuning I tried to solve the dimensioning problem with:
READ, change the value, SAVE - only to be asksd for a PASSWORD!!!!
A bit of fossicking through these posts turned up '608' and suddenly IT WORKS!!!
I am chuffed!

I need to knock your head as I did include the password on the manual. It means that you did NOT read the manual, didn't you
