Beam Expander gets hot

I just installed a 2x beam expander rated for my 150 watt reci laser. After aligning the lens and running some test I cut some thin plastic. The mount and the lens got hot. What do I do. Here is a picture of my setup. The small diameter is input and the larger diameter is output. Thanks for your help. Rob

I ran the cut at 70% power and 28ma.

There is about a .5 inch space from the laser output to the input of the beam expander

You need at lease 1" space, probably 1.5" is better for the heat to release from the tube. It is too closed to the laser tube.
