laser power setting

Hello Marco long time no see :). This is just a minor question . I can't get the laser to fire below 25% power on the lcd and noticed some folk appear to be using a much lower setting. Is there something obvious I'm missing?. Like I said it's not a big prob and it's not getting in the way of me using the machine to good effect just curious.
Thanks for your time.

Check on the power setting (in %) under the "Options -> System settings ->Manufacturers Parameters->Max Power"
You may increase the % see if it works out the way you want.

By the way, what power supply do you use? Some power supply may have 'narrow' band power control and higher % current setup is required.

Thanks for that Marco , I'll give that a go today. I replaced the original power board with the power supply that you sell for the 40W upgrade.
Thanks for your time.

hi Gerry
I will step in and give you some advice from experience.
did you enable the PPI? there you can not set the power level.
how old is your tube? if the tube on the way out it needs more and more power
what is the current reading on your meter?
do you mean 25% or 25mA?
greetings
waltfl

Hello Waltfl , the 25% is what is showing on the lcd panel. The tube hasn't had a lot of use (wouldn't think it's even clocked 20 hours thus far ).
Thanks for taking an interest.

HI GERRY
WHAT DOES YOUR Ma METER SHOWS?
do you have a analog mA meter or a digital?
the 25% does not mean that you got the required current you need to look at the mA meter what this shows the most tubes don work below 10mA.
