2012 (AWC-608B) Laser Controller engraving problems

Post by ngraving »

Hi Marco,
Time ago we bought AWC-608B DSP boards from you. The boards are installed in different machines and works fine, but there is a common problem when engraving some images. Please, see the attached picture.
This is a common problem in AWC-608 DSP boards. Please, could you tell me the cause or how to fix it?.

Software version: Lasercad 6.46

Many thanks

I don't know what could be the cause for Problem #1. But for Problem #2, there are three possibility:
1) Engraving speed was set too fast
2) Rising edge/ Falling edge setting on LaserCad.
3) Motor or mechanical issue

Hi Marco,
Assuming that the Rising edge/ Falling edge setting on LaserCad is wrong, the problem #2 would appear all the time or sometimes?

Many thanks

Once it is fixed, you no longre need to do it again
It is motor driver type issue. Very common.

After setting is changed, make sure to hit `Reset `button on the LCD unit to reflect the change

Hi,
We had something like that a while ago, I seem to remember it was an extended USB lead problem, controller would beep believed happy but data issues and NO error checking carried out, worth trying a short known lead perhaps...

Hi Russ,
Maybe is a electrical noise issue...
