corner power and minimum laser power

Hello everyone,
We just got our hands on a 2nd hand 2011 DSP for testing and we're absolutely loving it so far, even so that we're thinking of ordering the 2012 version pretty soon. But we still have some questions/issues before we take the leap:
- corner power: we understand the general idea, the laserhead moves slower when reaching the corner, hence the power needs to be reduced.
With our previous controller this was actually done automatically, you set the power and nominal speed, and depending on the actual speed when reaching corners, it just reduces the power accordingly. e.g. when going from 100mm/s to 50mm/s, the power will go down to half it's original setting. Is this something that's included in the latest version of the controller/software or are we just missing something right now?
- minimum laser power and PWM frequency: We can't seem to go anywhere below 11% power, this is rather annoying as 11% of or 100watt reci lasertube is still a considerable amount and makes it impossible to cut paper cleanly (the corners will automatically go up in flames). With our previous controller we managed to get down to around 2% laserpower with a PWMfrequency of 0.5 KHz, but PHCad 4.47 doesn't allow us to go below 5KHz (5000) PWM frequency.
Some more hardware information:
- Lasersaur open-source lasercutter
- RECI 100Watt long-life lasertube
- DY13 laser PSU
Thanks,
Kevin
