Dear Marco,

I cannot find in my LaserCAD version the PPI edit box on settings. Is there any other version available for download? Is it my 608 DSP board that does not support it? I have product number AWC608 with main board: 7.12.09.22 and LCD board: 5.12.02.29.

The DSP is connected to an RF excited CO2 laser (Coherent E-150).

I am trying to change the PWM duty cycle from the software. I am reading PWM pin 3 from the DSP (connector 5) in my oscilloscope, and I always get 50% duty cycle. What and from where could I change that in LaserCAD?

what version lasercut do you have??? only from version 6.27 on is ppi suported but there you can set the duty cycle what means how many times the laser fires and it would allways be 50% that you can not change

I have LaserCAD V6.27. In which menu or screen is PPI setting ?

Why is duty cycle limited only to 50%? My laser can go up to 75% according to the manufacturer. Can I change that?

The PPI settings are layer dependent and are on the layer properties page. This is in my version 6.27 anways:

For RF, the frequency should be set to "5000". It seems that signal of RF is always "50/50"
The "50" you mentioned was for output power % , not the cycle.

your max power setting in laser settings should be 95% because with 50% you reduce the max power down to half.
the ppi setting is like daveman showed.

Thank you all,

does anyone has any experience getting the most out of RF tubes with the DSP ?

I am trying to PWM the RF with the DSP. The manufacturer says I should drive the RF tube with a differential driver board. Can I just PWM it, bypassing the manufacturer's differential driver board?
