Limit Switch Question

Ok, I got my dsp kit today and I've already got the machine torn down and almost ready to start putting back together. Fun stuff. I hope it keeps going this smooth!
I have a question about the x-axis limit switch. My k40 came with one already installed and I really like how small it is and where they put it. I was going to take it off and put on the one that came with the kit but I'll lose a bit of motion on that axis if I do that.
My question is... Would stock one work ok with the dsp kit? I have attached a photo of it.
Oh! And does anyone know the screw size for the 24 volt psu that comes with the kit?

Yes, it looks ok to me.
Did you buy the 24V PS from me? If so, I can send you some screws. I'm assuming you need the screws to mount it to the case, right?
Or, tell me what are you planning to do if not.

Marco,
Thanks for the quick reply, using that limit switch will free up a bit of movement for me and I can use the spare switch that came with the kit on the door.
And yes, it was the 24 volt ps that came with the kit. No need to send screws though, if you can check on the size when you have a little spare time that would be great. I'll just pick them up locally. I need to get other hardware tomorrow to mount the stepper drivers and other odds and ends.

It should be "M3" metric

The existing X axis switch works good for my conversion. I made a custom PC board to mount the Y axis switch to in the same place that the optical one was (and removed the the metal flag that triggered the optical). By using the existing X switch and custom board for the Y switch I was able to maximize the travel available on the top end. The maximum X travel is what it is but I was able to gain significant more Y travel in the positive direction by trimming the "garden hose" stop. Here are some pictures of mine:
X axis (note by default it was wired normally closed, DSP will want it normally open. Use the middle and top contact, not the bottom and top):
Y axis (note that this switch hits the aluminum rail in the back about where the optical flag was mounted.):
Good luck with your project. My conversion went really smooth, hope yours does as well.
