Your version is very old and you can't upgrade the mainboard OS to the "120921V8.UG5" direct. You seems not following my post that you need to upgrade your mainboard to certain version before you can use "xxxxxxV#.UG5" file for future upgrade. BTW, you got to get the chip replace on the LCD unit if you need to get better control on Pan & Til movment. I posted the info back to 8 months ago that an upgrace chip is available for the LCD unit. In order to run LaserCad v6.xx, you have to upgrade the OS on the mainboard or there is incompatible may occur. Regardless upgrade or not, the LaserCad has nothing to do with the LCD control as it's a software (high level language), and it has nothing to do with the LCD uint (low level control). May be you should get the chip replace see if it can fix the problem.
I'm going to PM you two files see if helps (without LCD upgrade chip). Then, you start from there to run "xxxxxxV#.UG5". Note, you only need to run a file at a time per OS upgrade. Check the "V#" where the # will tell you what model of your mainbaord. It could be 6,7, or 8. FYI, now it's "7" unless otherwise.

It's not matter of V6,V7,or V8 that you have as that is main-board group. V8 doesn't mean that it is more advance than V6.
After OS upgrade, you need to double check your setting again as it may reset to the factory default. For example, the XY direction may be reversed or the home location changed. Also, double check the "um" value.
Also, check your wire connection, especially the driver wiring and the limit switches. If it's working before, it couldn't be caused by the change of OS or software.

Hi
I had this too but it is like marco says after any OS upgrade you need to resett all your settings.
I solved this probleme with saving the original settings on a extra place on the harddrive and after upgrading
I just read in manufacturer settings then import the old setting file and save it. this way I save a lot of time and agrivation.

Thanks Walt for your effort. I found a better way to do it.
"File" -> "Export Config" and it will save all configration info of the main-board in one file (Manufacturer parameters & User parameters)

If that is the case, the OS must have something to do with the LCD unit. It's been a while I didn't remember well about it
My apology.

You need to configure the card first befofe you export it. Use the "Import Config" to read the file under "File" from the LaserCad

Marco,
I received the files you sent, thank you ! LaserCAD is now updated to V6.27 and seems to be fine.
However, I cant upgrade my AWC-608 with v6, v7, or v8, all report "Upgrade Error" on the LCD.
Do I need a new chip also ?
my information is as follows...
Order Number: 189799
Main board: 5.11.10.30
Lcd board: 5.11.10.30
Thanks for your help,
Steve

Your OS was very old. I posted an update for it about a year ago seems you didn't get it before the file was removed.
I'll send you it by email so you need to install the "pre-updated" OS before running the OS update
