Android Control

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd put a bit of a feeler out there, but would anyone be interested in a small Android app that allows you to jog the machine, draw the outline box etc wirelessly from your Android device? Provided your DSP is network connected, of course.

I'm planning on developing this myself for personal use (So you don't have to be near the control panel while loading materials, doing alignment etc), but thought I'd see if there is interest for such a thing?

Dan :)

That would be quite useful.

Is the ethernet protocol published anywhere? I was looking for that info since I was hoping to write a quick Inkscape plugin for it.

No it's not. Unless someone wants to tell us? :D

But I've been quite successful in reverse engineering the network messages, I've figured out how to make it jog at least.

I can give you some more info later on once I've figured it all out if you'd like.

Dan

Good Morning.
I am interested in the communication protocol. Does anyone have manuals or has succeeded reverse engineer?
Thank you very much.
A greeting.
