Importing DXF and raster?

Hey! I just bought one of the DSP controllers for the laser cutter I am building myself from scratch. I have been playing around in the laserCAD software, and it seems great so far.

I have a question:

How can I import a dxf file, and tell laserCAD to cut that, but also import a image and have it raster it?

I want to make some small key chains out of acrylic, so I want to raster engrave some text first, then cut it out, but I can't figure out how to import both into laserCAD at the same time?

EDIT: I have discovered that setting a certain element of a dxf file to engrave automatically rasters in the inside of it, but say if I wanted to engrave an image, them cut it out in a shape?
