I have just installed Win7 Pro 64bit to my laptop and ran a couple times of graphic you attached, I found no problem. I even un-installed the 64bit driver and re-installed the LC with 32bit driver (default) USB driver, intentionally. I got a few communication errors when the 1st try of establishing the communication. But after a couple try, it did connect to the DSP. It, again, engraved the image without a problem.

After two images engraved, I un-installed the LC again and removed 'left over' files in the folder. Re-boot the Windows and installed the LaserCad again with default 32bit driver. I got no problem of doing engraving.

So, unless there is new issue, I concluded that the LaserCad is working properly under Win7.

Thx Marco for your help. I don't know why my system is different and causes my particular problems. Perhaps it because I'm in the bottom side of the world in Australia and therefore standing on my head. Everything works perfectly now ,,,,,,,,,as long as I put a dummy cut box around what I try to engrave , which I can live with , of course.

Now I,m looking for help in engraving photos to glass and acrylics. I have converted a few trial pics using Corel and also Photograv but the final print to those mediums are not exactly what I see on YouTube. As a lot of info on various forums is specific to other lasers (mostly Epilog) and more powerful lasers if someone can post their settings that work, (speed, power, scan gap, ppi, and optimal image resolution , etc) for the 40 watt laser I'd be very grateful.
