How to save layer's settings

Post by Ponch »

Hi,
I would like to be able to save the settings (speed, power1 min, ...etc) of the layers independently from the project.

I used to import dxf file to lasercad. Each line color represents a kind of work (for exemple : black for cut, red for strong vector engraving, green for light raster engrave...etc), and that whatever the material is.
When I import a dxf file, I need to change the layers' settings everytime I change material.

What I need is a kind of material settings management.

For the moment, I create a project for each material, open it and then import the dxf file.
It works but it could be very efficient to add this fonctionnality, and I think not only for me.

Hi ponch
OK the settings for the layer color wil allways be the last one you use for this color and if you use this color for a new file it wil take this settings. but if you change the settings for this color to something else and wana use it for a new file it will take the last settings.
I always have black for engraving ( BMP), red for cutting with high power and low speed, blue for low power high speed cutting, then the remaining colors for everythings else where I maybe change the settings
greetings
walt
