can't connect the pc to the dsp

Post by twosoc »

Hi, we've just finished our upgrade of a moshi k40iii using the 2012 board, but we can't seem to connect it to the pc successfully. Its running xp but I heard that that was no problem. The board and ps steppers etc didn't come with any software so I downloaded the lasercad 5.5 from the download sections is there anything else I should have downloaded. The display says I'm running 7.12.05.05.

Any help you can give me will be appreciated, oh by the way we tried a different cable and its not that.

Cheers, tim.

Update, we've managed to get ti to talk to the computer with the network cable, now I think we have something wired up wrong or set incorrectly cos we tried to draw a simple rectangle and it went crazy and zigzagged around the table. does anyone have a guide or a diagram for all the conections for a moshi upgrade?

We're using the ps dsp and two 2M542 drivers (all from light object) if its any help.

Glad you are connected.

you probably don't have the pulse width set correctly. In the Manufacturer's Parameters (password 608) set the pulse width for both x and y to about 25. That will get you close. You can then adjust to get exact sizing of the output.

Also, you should be using version 5.95.
