Help please. Lasercad 5.93 won't connect to DSP

Hi All,

I seem to have run into a strange problem. I can't get Lasercad to connect to the AWC608 2012 DSP. I've installed Lasercad 5.93 and Lasercad loads. When I try to connect via USB, it keeps telling me "Communicating Unsuccessful". Here is the info. from my DSP.

Main Board version: 7.12.04.03
LCD Board version: 5.12.2.29

I'm running windows 7 home edition 64bit.

In device manager, there is an unrecognized device: "FT245R USB FIFO"
If I unplug the USB cable from the DSP, this device dissapears so I assume there is probably a problem with the USB driver.


I've tried rebooting and cycling power to the DSP with no success. I've uninstalled Lasercad and Reinstalled, but the same problem persists.

You need to install the 64bit driver for Win7
