I'm still on my quest to use the original opto switches and circuits from my DC-kIII. It took a couple extra components, but I've got it mostly working now.
The only problem I have now is that the limit switches connect to ground when the laser head is not home. i.e. the limit switche LEDs on the control board go dark when the laser head is home.
I've seen a lot of references to an option that allows you to switch the interpreted polarity, but I can't seem to find it.
In Tim's guide, download/file.php?id=166 , on page 13, it talks about being able to adjust this in the machine parameters tab. With my 2012 DSP with LaserCad 5.93 there doesn't seem to be such a tab.
Where is this setting in the new LaserCad?
Change limit switch polarity?

Ben:
Do you have the pin layout from the opto sensor. I can trace a few but lost the paper If you can send it to me I would be able to do some testing for you

Re: Change limit switch polarity?
Hi Marco,
I can post the pinout i've figured out when i get home. But, I'm asking about doing this by software.
If it can't be done by software, I'm thinking about releasing a board/kit to allow conversions of Moshi lasers to the DSP, if there's interest.
