What are these parts for?

I ordered a K40 upgrade kit with a x7 and i got these two parts but i dont know what they are for?

oops never mind i just figured it out when i went to mount my X7 They are mounts for the main control panel.

I'm pretty sure they are to hold the display in the chassis.

Yes, A photo would be nice.

I never used mine and would like to see how they are supposed to work

If you tighten the screw it always falls out (the way it's shown) Maybe the screw needs to go in the other way on the bracket ?

If it's placed like on the photo it will fall out, if you reverse the screw it could work if it was reachable from the top.. But there is the front.
If you want to tighten it from the bottom, so the hinge is pointing the other way, the screw end "walks"..
I solved it by making similar hinges, but with the nodge the other way around, drilling two small holes in te mountingplate and turn a point at the end of the screw that will fit in the small holes..
Now i'm able to fix the panel tight to the mountingplate..
But as they came?? not usable IMHO ... Until someone shows me how to use them properly, i'm not convinced it works with this panel..

This set up is very simular to the Cmore screens from Automation Directs .

The above picture is the R5 screen. They seem to stay in ok.
I don't have the panel built yet still working on getting things set up.
Clamped this piece of Al in and it held firm.
Maybe the slots in this one are narrower than some of the other DSP screens.

I don't see a reason you can't turn the screw over and have the hook keeping it from popping out.
Did notice these angled some maybe that is keeping it in as well.

Thinking more on it.
With the screws flipped the other way the side legs would take up the force applied on the screen.

The case of this display is slightly different from my X7-display. When i turn the hinges like on the latest picture it almost has nothing to lean to.
For this display it works like you fitted it now.
As an extra you could turn or grind a point to the screws and drill a small hole in the panel to hold the point in place..
This is what i did with the screw's tip to fit in the small hole in the front:
