Dimmension of Aluminum frame kit (600x400) ?

Post by Masao »

Does anyone know dimension of aluminum frame kit (600x400)? I'm considering buying the kit or custom build one from scratch. Choice between convenience/time or the money. Anyone has Sketchup drawing of aluminum frame suitable for CNC or Laser cutter? I'm drafting one now using 30-30 T slotted aluminum extrusion bars.

Open the link in the top post. It is a PDF with the length over every piece in the kit. In MM of course.

Thank you!
That was very helpful. My next project is to convert the existing upgraded K40 into larger one with more power and work area.

Based on dimmension given for 600x400 frame, I calculated to be around $425-$525 for the materials alone.

Unless you want exact customization, I have come to concolusion that it would be better deal to buy Lightobject frame kit at $550 than to try buy materials and cut to the lenght yourself. It isn't worth time or effort for me to save $50-$100. If I buy the kit, I would shorten little bit so that it will fit through the doors of my rooms in the house.
