Laser starts engraving always in the same place

Hope someone can help.

Laser upgrade complete and working, however I am trying to setup a template to engrave pens and I can't get Lasercad to engrave or cut in the place I put in on the screen. It always starts at the top and works down no matter where it is placed on the screen. I have even tried to place the laser head in the place I want it to engrave and it homes its self and continues to engrave from the very top again.

Any Ideas?

set the laser head in place, then hit the "origin" button. either on the controller or on the lasercad screen.
