Hello people, I am having the following problem where when cutting or engraving sometimes, well most of the time produces a wobbly lined corners.
My acceleration and deceleration are set to 1000 as this is the minimum specified. It seems worse on small cuts, but turning the speed down seems to help but not much.
I am wondering if the motors are missing steps and I need a higher resolution motor or, is it the cables need shielding and x and y are interfering with each other?
Thoughts would be appreciated. I am wondering if I have the same problem as was suggested in this thread:

Finally, When the laser starts up, you may notice that the in one of the pics, there seems to be a bit of overburn. How do I stop this?
Thanks

What is the version of your OS?
Upgrade the patch may help. If not, check the focus lens see if it got lose
What happen when you draw a straight line in both X and Y direction?

Straight lines are fine.. Lens is fine, mirrors all calibrated, lens cleaned.

Hi Ryan,
Are you using stepper or servo?
Same problem happened to me (servo motor). Set your Cut and Space Jerk minumum (8000). And set start speed 1 for X Y and engrave.
Please reply If your problem solve or not.

I had the same problem but mine is caused by loose focus lens. I upgraded to the new nozzle with air assist and there was too much room so,the lens bounced around when the head moved.

Oh, thanks, I will look into this. There is currently no o ring around the edge of the lens. I will try that. I have a http://www.lightobject.com/Pro-laser-he ... -P586.aspx
at the moment. Is this the one you upgraded to?

Nope, I had the one came with the AWC680 upgrade kit. When screwing in all the way, there is still extra room horizontally and vertically for the lens to move. I had to laser cut several cardboard o- rings to fit it.
