Grade engrave

Post by Jacala »

Hello!

The engraving is coming along nicely and I'm starting to engrave photos etc. I've used the machine about 150 hours without real problems.

But I've got some questions before starting photo engraving:
  • Is it functional and/or smart to combine dither and Grade engrave?
  • What does "Grade length" mean exactly and how does it influence the engraving effect? I'm not getting the answers I need in the manual
Thanks!

Hi jacala
the grade settings are just for stamps don't use it for engraving photos.
first try to take a good picture directly with import to the laser and let it run with about 200 speed and around 16% power.
if it is not good enough then try dithering.
if you need more help just send me a PM to a542002@hotmail.com
greetings

I would also like to know what "grade engrave" is intended to do because in my experiments it makes no difference what those settings are set to..
Thanks
