Shading or greyscale

Post by xarget »

The last picture was done with my k40 befor x7 upgrade and the middle 2 after, any ideas on settings to get the dsp to do the different shading like before I upgraded ? I have tried everything I can think of and changes power speed and about every other setting I could find, the first is a picture of the image I used, I just took a picture of the screen with my phone...

What are your power settings, are you using greyscale. Have you tried dithering.

I'm still trying to figure out the greyscale mode vs dithering and I think it's a new feature and the guys at LO have not yet evaluated it fully yet.

I have tried at least 20-30 different power and speed settings both with and without dithering and grey engrave and normal engrave, nothing comes close to my original k40 image
