Laser cad and the newest windows updates.
Laser Cad Will not save to UD5 after the latest updates to Windows 10. Even the latest version 7.92.12 Anyone else having this problem. I've tried on two different computers. When I try to save it just says calculating the data and then it stops throwing an error and the pop up is. The program has stopped working and needs to close. No other information is given.

Format the internal memory as it may either get full or some files corrupted.

You lost me. This is on the computer when saving from pwj file to UD5 before uploading it. I keep the memory empty on the controller unless I'm doing a job.Tech_Marco wrote:Format the internal memory as it may either get full or some files corrupted.

How about run the LaserCad as an Administrator by right click of the program and looked into the compatible mode?
Give it a try

No go. It just keeps doing the same thing in compatibility mode for win 8 and even as administrator. I have some jobs to do and the machine is pretty much useless to me if I cant get this working.Tech_Marco wrote:How about run the LaserCad as an Administrator by right click of the program and looked into the compatible mode?

Not even a simple drawing like a square box under LaserCad?
Can't you download the drawing direct to the controller?
We ran the LaserCad in so many different perform as I didn't see anything like yours. Check the cable connection in both CN1 and CN2. It one of the cable gotmlise, you could moves the laser head but you couldn't communicate. May be that is your issue

Re: Laser cad and the newest windows updates.
I can download any UD5 file I already have with no problem. I can access the Controller with the LaserCAD with no problem. There is no communication issue there. I cannot save a file I have created and saved as a pwj5 file on the computer itself. When I hit download and then tell it to save it as a UD5 file for upload it crashes. Also when I click on a pwj5 file now it comes up with Chinese as the language and when it was installed I selected English. This is on both computers.Tech_Marco wrote:Not even a simple drawing like a square box under LaserCad?

The problem are the arrows.. Don't know what kind of imported files those where. But i replaced them with a vector, and that works flawless.
BTW, why do you give all parts a separate color, as all setting are the same??? (except for cutting)

You only have to give them the appropriate colors.BTW, why do you give all parts a separate color, as all setting are the same??? (except for cutting)
