I recently bought 8 digital power meters for monitoring the power consumption of a resistance heater running off of a 28VDC supply. I have the heater controlled by a PID temperature controller from Omega which regulates the current going to the heater through PWM. Unfortunately, I cannot get accurate readings on the power meter because the sampling interval for the power meter is ~3Hz, and the duty cycle period for the PWM controller is ~300ms. If the sampling interval for the power meter were ~5-10 seconds (0.1 - 0.2 Hz), the readings would be more accurate. Since the meter uses digital filtration, it should be possible to adjust this sampling interval in the firmware (similar to adjusting parameters in the setting "0036" mode).

Is there anyway to adjust this parameter using a different programming mode?

If that is not possible, would it be possible by changing the value of some passive component (resistor or capacitor) on the power meter PCB?
