JLD404 Watt Meter

I have just purchased your JLD404 Watt Meter and shunt. It is not clear to me how to connect the meter and the shunt. I have downloaded the manual but it is not explained there.

Doing some guess work then it looks like

Positive from power Source is connected across shunt (using bigger screws)

1. Positive from Power source
2. Negative from Power Source
9. One lead from shunt (goes to one of the small screws on shunt)

where would then the other lead from shunt go ? do I need to connect negative from powers source in other places on watt meter ? Do I use 10 for anything ?

In short then the reply is that

Shunt is connected across the NEGATIVE main wire from power source to the load using the bigger screws

Connector 1 = Positive from Power Source
Connector 2 = Negative from Power Source
Connector 9 = lead from shunt small screw on load side of shunt
Connector 10 = lead from shunt small screw on power source side of shunt

How would this work if the power source to the panel meter is different than what you want to monitor?
I have a power source that is from 0 - 500VDC with current from 0-30A.
Connector 1 & 2 are for the power source for meter. What inputs do I use to monitor power supply that is
seperate from panel meter power supply? And, I have to make sure that these two power supplies have isolation.
The panel meter cannot conduct any power from any source.

Then you need an isolated power supply for the meter. You share the power sources ONLY if the voltage range is within the limit of the meter or you will blow it
