JLD404AH-B wrong voltage measure?

Post by haibaer »

Hi

I just got the JLD404 AH-Meter and installed and configured it as described in the manual. Current and amperehours seem to be right, but the voltage measurement looks wrong. It shows 63.2V instead of 12.8V. So I tried to set a relay (J2) to close when Voltage is over 60V and it does act as it there were over 60V. But AH is shown/calculated as if with 12V, not 60V.

I have 1 12V-Battery as power source and 1 12V-Battery for the load. So I think there is not much to mess up with connections.
But to be sure? Do I understand anything wrong?

Double check your setting. It look like that the voltage has been multiple by "5". Check your connection. See if you connect to the wrong terminals. Sometimes a simple mistake could let key to the solution

Okay, I write the connection and terminals down to double checkit. There is the Power source battery, the load battery and an inverter as load.

Independent battery as power source on Terminal 1(+) & 2(-)

Load battery
(-) on terminal 10 (COM)
(+) on terminal 6 (100V)

Inverter
(-) on terminal 7 (5A)
(+) on Load Battery (+)

Quiet simple and no relay involved. Is anything wrong with this configuration? You mention "multiply", is there any configuration possibility for this?

On your setting "UPvH", I bet you set to "500" instead of "100.0"

Okay, I bet 2 beers that I didn't... and you win :-) But you have to come to Mexico (Merida) to get them.

Thank you for your help, I wasn't aware of that this voltage limit setting is a must for the 2 voltage entries. Everything works fine now.

Thanks again for your support

You are right again, that was a cheap shot! So it's 3 beers now :-)) (November and december there's a special one called "noche buena" which is worth a journey...)
