Need help swapping to the T9

[TSHobbies]

got the T9 in today and have a few questions ...
1st , my old controller has an extra cable ,which the t9 has no port for...I have no idea what this cable is for..see photo attached

2nd
according to the T9 wiring diagram, the wires are backwards on my current old setup vs the T9 manual ... example, where it shows on the T9 manual to wire into TTL- ..on my machine its wired into TTL+ ..so should I stick with what the machine is set up, or go with the T9 manual? see photos compared to machine vs manual

Guess that is the DC power. Use a multimeter to check.
Maybe your laser power supply use TTL+; stick with TTL+.
