Limit Switch Mount

I am installing the limit switches on my 40W laser and was wondering if I could get some examples on how and where you mounted them. My machine has X as priority and Y is secondary. I would love not to have to recreate the wheel so any ideas will help. I attached a photo of how I currently have them. Is it possible to change the priority of the indexing? Has anyone used an optical switch and if so where have you mounted it?
