So I have an FSL 4th Gen and the Y axis stopped working. The motor controller chip on the retina control board actually started glowing.
I have purchased the X7 to retrofit, but I'm a bit worried about my Y axis motor being bad.
Is there an easy way to test?
The existing Y axis motor is a .9 Degree motor. All of the guides I have seen show the K40 having 1.8 degree Y axis motors.
I bought one from China only to realize it didn't have the through shaft I need:
JKM Nema 17 0.9 Degree 42 Two Phase Hybrid Stepper Motor 40mm 1.68A For CNC Router
purchased from banggood (lesson learned)
So my primary question is should I attempt to use my existing motor?
Can I put a 1.8 degree motor in place of the .9 degree one?
Second question is, does anyone have a wiring diagram/schematic for X7 to K40 or FSL retrofit?
Thanks!
