Just bought the x7 DSP to control my laser cutter. Everything seems to be working except the laser will not fire from the DSP. My power supply has H,L, WP, IN 5V connections.
Here's my wiring from the DSP to the LPSU:
PWM to IN
G to G
TTL to TL (set to low level in laser cad)
On the power supply itself, I have WP jumped to ground. Pressing the laser button or running files on DSP doesn't fire the laser but I can manually fire the laser with a test switch on the PSU. To troubleshoot, I checked voltages between the laser output pins on the DSP as well as tried switching the connector to the laser output 2. Here's the voltages across those pins which remain constant regardless if I use DSP's laser button or am running a file:
TTL to ground: 4.85V
PWM to Ground: 0.00V
TTL to PWM: 4.85V
I really hope I'm just missing a setting somewhere!
Laser not firing - bad board?

Re: Laser not firing - bad board?
Did you enable "Door" open protection? Check it by pressing "Shift" and "Stop" together and go over the setting see if the door protection is 'enabled' (Show Open or Closed, Open = enable. I need to ask the programmer to change it to "Enabled" or "Disabled") after Chinese New Year
If TTL is "4.85V", it is not going to fire. It must be "0V".

Re: Laser not firing - bad board?
Just checked open switch, all water protects and foot switch are all set to closed. Water protection is set to closed as well. Any other ideas what would cause this? I use this laser for my business and am backed up on orders!

Re: Laser not firing - bad board?
A bit more info that may or may not be helpful for troubleshooting: output 2 does output the input voltage when the laser button is pressed or when the laser should be firing during the demo file. TL is still not going to 0V though.

Re: Laser not firing - bad board?
We are working on it. I think you have a newer model that need two connection cables. We may just sent you one cable instead of two.
Will let you know after testing.
