controller for dual lasers

I am planning my next laser and I was thinking of having both a high power CO2 tube for general purpose cutting and engraving and a blue diode laser for fine engraving. I think the blue laser module is small and light enough that I can make an additional mount near the CO2 laser head. What I was wondering is if I could have the X7 or R5 DSP control both lasers with the laser used determined by the color or layer I use in the drawing. In addition to selecting the correct laser to power up I would also need to be able to set two different origins since the beams will several inches off from each other.
